【摘要】:Thisstandarddescribesthedeterminationofthemolecularweightdistribution,number-averagemolecularweightMrandweight-averagemolecularweightMwofpolymersthataresolubleinDMAC(N,N-dimethylacetamide)bygelpermeationchromatography(GPC).Itispossiblethat,inspiteofthegoodrepeatabilityofthechromatogramsobtained,thismethodcannotbeusedwithcertainpolymertypesbecauseofspecificinteractions(e.g.adsorption)withinthesample/eluent/-columnsystem.Themethodisnotanabsoluteoneandrequirescalibrationwithcommerciallyavailableunbranchedpolymethylmethacrylatestandardsthathavebeencharacterizedbyindependentabsolutemethods.Theresultsforsamplesofpolymersotherthanpolymethylmethacrylatearethereforeonlycomparablewithingroupsofsamplesofthesametype.TheconditionsspecifiedinthisstandardarenotsuitablefortheGPCanalysisofpolymersampleswithMwvaluesgreaterthan10~6g/mol(seeAnnexC).Nocorrectionmethods(e.g.fortheeliminationofpeakbroadening)areincludedinthisstandard.Ifabsolutemolecularweightvaluesarerequired,anabsolutemethod(e.g.membraneosmometryforMnorlightscatteringforMw)shallbeused.
