【摘要】:Paints,ifnotformulatedorprocessedproperly,orboth,maysettleexcessively.Thistestmethodisanattempttosimulatetheconditionsthatwouldacceleratesettlingofthepigmentinordertoevaluatesettlingpropertieswithin2weeks.Thevariablesofthistestmethodinconjunctionwiththeverysubjectivemethodofevaluatingthedegreeofsettling(TestMethodD869)raisequestionsastotheusefulnessoftheresultsforspecificationcompliance.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedureforsimulatingin2weeksthesettlingthatmightoccurintrafficpaintduringapproximately12months''normalstorage.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,seeNotein5.2.
