【摘要】:1.1Themathematicalmethodsincludedinthispracticeprovideacalculationalprocedureforestimatingheatlossorheatsavingswhenthermalinsulationisaddedtobarevalvesandflanges.1.2Questionsofapplicabilitytorealsystemsshouldberesolvedbyqualifiedpersonnelfamiliarwithinsulationsystemsdesignandanalysis.1.3Estimatedaccuracyislimitedbythefollowing:1.3.1Therangeandqualityofthephysicalpropertydatafortheinsulationmaterialsandsystem,1.3.2Theaccuracyofthemethodologyusedincalculationofthebarevalveandinsulationsurfaceareas,and1.3.3Thequalityofworkmanship,fabrication,andinstallation.1.4Thisprocedureisconsideredapplicablebothforconventional-typeinsulationsystemsandforremovable/reusablecovers.Inbothcases,forpurposesofheattransfercalculations,theinsulationsystemisassumedtobehomogenous.1.5Thispracticedoesnotintendtoestablishthecriteriarequiredinthedesignoftheequipmentoverwhichthermalinsulationisused,nordoesthispracticeestablishorrecommendtheapplicabilityofthermalinsulationoverallsurfaces.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
