【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthephysicalandmagneticcharacteristicsofamagnetictapecartridge,usingamagnetictape12,7mmwide,soastoprovidephysicalinterchangeofsuchcartridgesbetweendrives.Italsospecifiesthequalityoftherecordedsignals,therecordingmethodandtherecordedformatknownasParallelSerpentine,therebyallowingdatainterchangebetweendrivesbymeansofsuchcartridges.TheformatsupportsvariablelengthLogicalRecords,highspeedsearch,andtheuseofthealgorithmfordatacompressionspecifiedinInternationalStandardISO/IEC15200.Informationinterchangebetweensystemsalsorequires,ataminimum,agreementbetweentheinterchangepartiesupontheinterchangecode(s)andthespecificationofthestructureandlabellingoftheinformationontheinterchangedcartridge.Togetherwithastandardforvolumeandfilestructure,e.g.InternationalStandardISO1001,thisInternationalStandardprovidesforfulldatainterchangebetweendataprocessingsystems.
